Frequently asked questions
How much do you charge for a talk?
For £400 per day plus travel expenses, I will come to your school or venue and perform two shows. For an additional £100, I can perform a third, perhaps an evening performance that includes families or the local community. If costs are prohibitive, you may consider joining together with another school in a shared venue, or consider booking me when I am already in your area to reduce travel costs.
How many people can you perform to?
There is no typical audience size, although the more the merrier. I have performed to groups of 30, but I prefer audiences of 1000!
What is the ideal age-group?
My shows are perfect for GCSE, A-level, university and adult audiences, Excellent for 13+ (Year 9 onwards), OK for 11-13 (Y7-8), but should be familiar with trigonometry. Not really recommended for under 10s (despite past positive comments!)
What should we provide?
I will need access to a power supply, a data projector (for Powerpoint), and a car parking space as close as possible to the venue.
Do you have public liability cover?
Yes I have public liability insurance to the value of £10m through the Musicians Union. I also hold a current CRB/DBS certificate.
